JUNIORS TRIUMPH OVER INDIA

Our under 16 juniors taking part in the Compass World Wide challenge final in Tokyo got their first win under their belts with a 4-2 victory over India.

Once again it was a tough days tennis for the juniors with both the girls, Linge Steenkamp and Ntokoza Zungu losing the final set tie breaks. These final set tie breaks have not been kind to us as with Joubert Klopper losing two singles in that fashion and now both girls, surely the tide will turn soon.

Klopper and Robbie Arendse both produced their best performances of the week to win their matches against tough opponents so we tied the singles at 2-2.

The crowning moment came with us winning both the boys and girls doubles to clinch the victory 4-2.

This evening they had a kimono ceremony so the youngsters are really experiencing Japan custom on a daily basis.
